We have been authorised by the Goverment of Hong Kong to pay to various Officials now serving with His Majesty's Forces, oron leave in this country, a war bonus at the rate of 10% on their salaries and I have the honour to enquire whether, in the event of an official being placed on half-salary, as in the case of Mr. J.Ralston, we should pay him the whole amount due in respect of war bonus or half the amount only.
